Eataly Soho is Now Open! - Our Veg/Vegan Group Will Visit! - PLUS SALE!

(From the official announcement:) Eataly SoHo — our third location in New York City — has officially opened its doors. The eagerly awaited store is located in a historically landmarked building at 200 Lafayette Street nestled in the heart of SoHo, at the intersection of Broome Street.

After opening the first location in Torino, Italy, in 2007, we made our United States debut with the 2010 opening of our flagship store in the Flatiron district, which has since become a beloved destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike. Following the successful expansion to Westfield WTC mall in the Financial District in 2016, we're now increasing our presence in one of the world's most iconic neighborhoods — SoHo — known for its trendy atmosphere and vibrant shopping culture.

Eataly SoHo spans nearly 20,000 square feet. It offers an array of iconic Eataly experiences, showcasing the brand's high-quality and authentic Italian DNA. Eataly SoHo features a restaurant and a café open all day, as well as a specialty market with a carefully chosen selection of Italian and local delicacies.

I love Eataly, and have been going since the opening of their US flagship store in 2010 (on the corner of 5th Avenue & 23rd Street). While it is not nearly totally vegan, there are numerous vegan items for sale at the store, restaurants and cafes. Particular favorites of mine are the focaccias and breads, many of which are vegan. I've also had lots of great dining experiences in their restaurants and cafes. And I have greatly enjoyed shopping from the huge selection and variety of packaged food items (imported from Italy of course) including Italian drinks and sodas (many of which are available chilled).

WHERE TO MEET: We will meet outside the main front door to EATALY SOHO at 200 Lafayette Street (corner Broome Street) at 7:00pm. (Don't be late!) I, David Greene, am 6'4" and I will be holding a VEG MEETUP sign. At 7:10pm we will all be entering the store. Before we split up to shop, we will establish a meeting time and place (within Eataly Soho) to meet up after our shopping.

I love Italian food and the Eataly chain. I am super excited to check out the new Eataly in Soho! Join us. And I am sure there will be eating involved, I know I will be!
