Join us for a fun and delightful Garba dance event @ Lincoln Center -a quintessential New York City music and dance social event "Summer For the City"- organized by The Lincoln Center. These mostly FREE event runs from June 12 - August 10 with “Life, Liberty, and Happiness” as their 2024’s guiding curatorial theme, highlighting how active participation in the arts helps strengthen civic bonds and grow strong communities. This event brings the best of musicians and enthused dancers from all around the world. We are excited to host NYC Veg*n Meetup event at this fantastic venue.

Celebrate the beauty and vibrancy of Indian culture and folk dance traditions with Garba360 as part of India Week, featuring Ujjval Vyas Musicals, dance instruction by Heena Patel, and produced by MELA Arts Connect. An essential component of wedding celebrations and the nine-day fall Hindu festival Navratri, garba is an intoxicating, high-energy folk dance style from northwestern India marked by hand claps and twirls. Danced in a circle (reflecting the cyclical Hindu conception of time), garba steps can be anything from a simple two-step to intricate movements. At Garba360, you'll learn garba, sanedo, and other Gujarati folk dances with the instructors, and dance (or just listen) to live music!

10:00 pm onwards - Silent Disco featuring DJ Rekha

It will be a perfect outdoor place for us to enjoy this warm season - where you can get to enjoy the cool evening breeze, admire fellow dancers, listen to great live band and maybe realize dancing outdoors under the stars is FUN!! Of course, in addition you get to meet our fellow members and if you wish you can dance/ learn to dance (No Partner necessary!) to just listen to live music.

Please dress in comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring your great attitude and smile :) Of course there will be a bag check at the venue!

Just join us as we are incredibly friendly and welcoming group.. With all the wonderful vegetarians and vegans who attend each of our events, every event we do is liked by our members. People enjoy the fact they can mingle (speak with lots of different people), and they love the beautiful venues that we go to. Join us for a stellar evening of lively music and dance.

This event is FREE- First come, first-served. Just show up! There is no seating on the dance floor. Also, note that the food vendors may/ may not have plant-based options.
