Per HImalayan Vegan Organic: "Owners Sam and his brother in law/best friend first opened their restaurant on May 1, 2022. Himalaya Organic Vegan restaurant is stationed in the Sacramento and Natomas area with a mission for "Peaceful Food". A culture of Food that is healthy for customers and protects animals at the same time. The cuisine here is largely influenced by a Macrobiotic Diet, to reduce animal products, and eat locally grown foods that are in season. The Macrobiotic Diet stems from Zen Buddhism and its origins came from Japan. The diet tries to balance the supposed yin and yang elements of food, a diet based primarily on grains, vegetables, and other plants."
