About us
The Ventura County Real Estate Investors Association (“VCREIA”) is one of the oldest and largest investor group in Southern California. We are also affiliated with the Los Angeles Real Estate Investors Club and its county chapters (Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, as well as nine Meetup groups). Our mission is to provide: (1) education, (2) networking, and (3) mentoring to real estate investors throughout Ventura County.
We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the beautiful River Ridge Country Club, in Oxnard, California. We start at 6:30 pm for our unique Vendor Expo (in our exhibition area). Our general meeting runs from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. We proudly present the finest national and international speakers for in-depth real estate education. Learn from our great speakers and network with local investors.
For beginner investors that need special help getting started, we offer our super-duper world-famous Mentoring Program and Boot Camps. For our experienced investors, we have our special Gold Membership with their own private meetings and advanced seminars.
In 2018, founder Monique Dollonne moved to Alabama. Fellow investor and author Lloyd Segal assumed leadership of VCREIA. In his role as President, Lloyd and his team have been busy expanding VCREIA events and programs for members and real estate investors. Among our many activities and benefits:
1. Monthly Meetings. We conduct our General Meetings (free) on the second Wednesday of every month, 7:30 to 9:30 pm. (During the pandemic our meetings will be virtual and on Thursday nights for the convenience of our speakers.)
2. Vendor Expos. We conduct monthly Vendor Expos (free), before our general meetings, where you can “meet and greet” with local real estate professional and service providers eager to work with you on your next project.
3. VCREIA University. We conduct monthly workshops, classes, seminars, and boot camps on various real estate subjects.
4. Gold Membership*.* Our exclusive Gold Membership is for experienced investors looking for special VIP experiences and private events.
5. Mentoring Program. We have the best Private Mentoring Program in the Western Hemisphere! For those of you new to real estate investing and need help getting started, our mentoring is for you.
6. Loan Center. Our Loan Center (free) has over 100 lenders eager to finance your next deal (purchase or refinance). These lenders will actually compete for your business. Think of our Loan Center as the “Lending Tree for Investors.”
7. Wholesale Deals. Every Friday we email you our “Wholesale Deals” with properties available for you to buy. The list is free to members (with Gold Members receiving first priority).
8. “Rubbing Elbows” Podcast. We host a weekly podcast called “Rubbing Elbows” (Thursdays at 2:30 pm and streaming thereafter), with the latest local real estate news, starring our very own Chuck Dorfman and Lior Yehuda.
9. Economic Updates. Lloyd’s award-winning “Economic Update” newsletter (free) with the latest real estate news comes out every Monday morning to help you start the week.

Real Estate Vendors Expo Returns May 14th
Iman Cultural Center - Community Room, 3376 Motor Ave, Los Angeles, CA, USVendors Expo. Attend our super-duper, world-famous "Real Estate Vendors Expo," at the Los Angeles County Real Estate Investors Association. The Vendor Expo will be open at 6:30 pm and close at 7:30 pm. The Vendors Expo will re-open from 9:30 to 10:00 pm (after the completion of our general meeting).

In July 2017, Cindy decided to leave the corporate world and started investing in real estate. She joined a national network and quickly began educating herself. She also joined WREN (Women’s Real Estate Network) and local REIA’s to associate with like-minded real estate entrepreneurs.By 2018, Cindy had acquired four properties in Tennessee to fix and flip.
Going back and forth managing the projects, while exciting, was taxing. At that point, she decided to transition from fixing and flipping properties into fixing and flipping “paper” by investing in first position Performing and Non-Performing Notes. In May 2023, she partnered with another Real Estate Professional and formed S&C Capital, LLC. S&C Capital provides Note & Mortgage originations for Hard Money Loans for Private Lenders. These loans are used for the purchase and renovation of affordable housing in the Mid-West.In October 2023, Cindy founded her non-profit organization that helps low to middle, working class families live the American dream of home ownership. Investors that provide loans and/or donations may enjoy tax benefits and gain access to funds through Government grants and programs that will help build affordable housing for families and their communities. Cindy further expanded her Note business by introducing other Note opportunities for investors. Keeping with her passion for wanting to keep families in their homes, Cindy works diligently with investors, as well as building her own portfolio, throughout the US doing what she loves.

Parking. If there is no available metered street parking when you arrive, there are two FREE parking structures just two blocks away. The first structure is at the northeast corner of Motor and Palms. The second structure is at the northeast corner of Motor and National. Both parking lots are a short two block walk to the Iman. There is also $15 valet parking at the Iman.
