About us
Come sew with us! The Ventura Sewist is for people who like to sew: clothing, home decor, and fun stuff. This group can provide support, but we do not have a sewing teacher at the helm, so help with sewing or sewing machines will be ad hoc, and other group members may share their knowledge. Meeting places will shift and change based on members’ needs.

Mending and More at Tigerowl
Tigerowl Studio, 1842 E. Main St., Ventura, CA, USOur first event will simply be registering for a workshop at Tigerowl Designs, which happens to be my favorite place to meet other sewists because the folks there are so cool and helpful. To come to this event, RSVP here on Meetup, and then BE SURE to register for: All Levels: Mending and More. There's a $45 fee that goes directly to the fabulous teachers and space at Tigerowl. Materials and sewing machines (including sergers) are provided at the space.
