What we’re about
United Civil Service Corps of America – SFSF Bay Area Chapter
The United Civil Service Corps of America (UCSCA) – SFSF Bay Area Chapter is a community-driven organization dedicated to defending and advancing every individual’s right to swear the Oath of Office as a United States Citizen. We affirm a simple but powerful principle: citizenship is an office in itself—an essential civic role that belongs to all who qualify under the law, regardless of military eligibility, physical ability, or traditional expectations of “service.”
Our chapter brings together people who believe in the inherent dignity, authority, and responsibility of citizenship. We work to ensure that the Oath of Office is treated not as a symbolic formality but as a meaningful right of participation in our nation’s civic life. Whether someone can serve in the armed forces has no bearing on their capacity to uphold the values of the Constitution, contribute to their community, or exercise the duties of an American citizen.
Through meetups, workshops, discussions, and public-facing advocacy, we explore the history and purpose of the oath, share knowledge about the naturalization process, and support individuals navigating legal or administrative barriers. We build alliances with educators, community organizations, and civic leaders who share our commitment to inclusive citizenship.
The Bay Area Chapter is a welcoming space for immigrants, naturalized citizens, native-born citizens, legal advocates, and supporters of all backgrounds. Our mission is rooted in respect, education, empowerment, and the belief that democracy becomes stronger when every qualified individual can affirm their place in it.
Join us as we champion the universal right to take the Oath of Office and celebrate the civil service embodied in everyday American life.
