Learn the characteristics of turtles used in their identification, as well as a natural history story for each of the 16 species of turtles native to New York State. Information collected during the Herp Atlas Project, including county distribution records that are the basis of rarity status, will be shared.
Presenter Bruce Gilman, PhD has had the opportunity to observe and photograph many of the native turtle species, and will be sharing his images in this program.
