Work Party at Lehigh Crossing Park 7350 Víctor-Mendon Rd Vic

We will work along the pond shoreline, lopping off phragmites. We are finding more cattails and other native plants in the water.
Please wear sturdy, preferably waterproof boots, work gloves, wear insect repellent bring drinking water for yourself. Clippers or loppers may be helpful. I will have hand tools available for use. Park in the parking lot or drive up to the pond near my car where I make sure there there is solid ground.
The photo is of a Blue Dasher dragonfly. This time of year several dragonfly species make their home around the pond. The are often very colorful and easy to spot and photograph. One of their favorite foods are mosquitoes. They are amazing creatures to watch.
