Educational Tour - 1816 Farmington Quaker Meeting House

Details
If you love history, then you won't want to miss this educational tour. The 1816 Farmington Quaker Meetinghouse was a cradle of movements for equal rights for all people, especially Native Americans, African Americans, and women. We invite visitors to connect these historic ideals of equality with work for social justice in their own lives. Although the 1816 Meetinghouse is still a work in progress, we serve hundreds of visitors each year through programs and tours, both onsite and offsite.
The Tour/Walk Includes
• Inside the meeting house: hard-hats will be provided (see Notes).
• Nature trail (see Notes).
• Cemetery restoration across the street.

• This is an indoor-outdoor tour, so dress for the weather.
• Bug spray is recommended for the nature trail.
• Stay hydrated (bring your favorite non-alcoholic beverage).
• Restrooms will be available across the street.
• Since the meeting house is an "active construction site", hard-hats will be provided. They have enough for the tour - plus more in reserve, but if anyone has a hard-hat, it would help to bring it.
