Educational Tour - Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum

Details

Join us for a tour of the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum. Our guide (Otto M. Vondrak) will show us engines, rolling stock, and cabooses in the collection, describe the rich history of railroads in the Rochester, and Genesee Valley regions.

During the visit, you’ll step inside an ice-cooled refrigerator car, take control of railroad signals, see the train crew’s home in the caboose, and peek behind the scenes in our Restoration Shop. We will also get a train ride, which is included in the admission price. The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum is home to the largest collection of historic trains, as well as the only operating railroad museum in New York State.
