Welcome to the community! 💃🕺

VLDA is a volunteer-run, community-focused Latin dance group based in Victoria, BC. Our mission is to bring people together through Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, and other Latin dance styles in a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable joining in.

We host social dances, workshops, themed events, and free outdoor beginner dance classes during the summer to make Latin dancing accessible to the whole community. Our events are alcohol and drug free, creating a positive, safe, and welcoming atmosphere focused on connection, music, movement, and community.

We welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, identities, and experience levels. Whether you’ve never danced before or have years of experience, you are welcome here. No partner is necessary — many people attend solo and quickly become part of the community.
