Join the Let's Talk Society for an hour of platonic conversation with new people. Whether you come solo or with a friend, this is a low-pressure way to meet others and share stories, ideas, or a good laugh

Come by Murchies any Saturday afternoon from Jan 31 through April 20 between 10AM and 12PM with chats lasting until 1PM. Sit with one other person or a small group – up to 4, and chat away

They will provide conversation prompts to get things flowing, but where the chat goes is totally up to you. No speeches, no networking pressure - just real people, real talk, and the potential to make a new friend (or two)

Between studying and the general grind of life, the dating scene—especially the apps—can feel pretty draining. Small talk is fine, but I wanted to create a space for singles (ages 19–35) who are into health, wellness, and the outdoors to make genuine, long-term connections without the surface-level fluff.
To ensure everyone gets to participate in 1-on-1 pairings, this event is strictly capped at 16 attendees (8 guys and 8 girls).
Here is exactly how this 1-hour event will go:
1. What to Bring: Bring ONE small, physical "token" to give away.

• Examples: A single flower, a cool printed photo you took of a local trail, or a cute stuff toy, etc. (You are totally welcome to bring a friend to join in, but please ensure they RSVP so we keep the exact gender ratio!)

2. The 10-Minute Rule & How We Rotate: You hold onto your token for the first 50 minutes. Here is exactly how the walks work:

• We start at the kiosk and pair up (1 guy and 1 girl per pair). You get to choose your 1st pair then we rotate.
• I will call out a specific "Deep Dive" prompt for everyone to discuss (e.g., "What is a physical or mental challenge you’ve conquered recently that you are proud of?").
• You and your partner walk the scenic trails and discuss the prompt, skipping the small talk entirely.
• When the 10 minutes are up, I will call out "Time's up! Switch!"
• You will grab a new partner (rotating to a new guy/girl pairing), I will give a new prompt, and we continue walking.

3. The Hand-Off (Right Where We Are!): At 7:20, the rotations end. We won't walk all the way back to the kiosk—we will stop right wherever we are on the trail. This is the climax of the event. You will take your physical token, walk directly up to the ONE person you had the strongest connection with, and hand it to them.

• Example of how it goes: You walk up to them, hand them your token, and say whatever you like. Eg. "I really valued our conversation about our fitness goals, and I want you to have this." It is a bold, undeniable signal of interest, giving you an easy excuse to exchange numbers and set up a possible date. :)

4. The Host Plays Too: I will be participating in the walks and handing out a token right alongside you all.

# Dance Victoria's last performance of the season, Boca Tuya.

We can meet at 6:30pm to catch the pre-show talk in the lobby that starts at 6:45pm, then maybe have a drink and pre-show visit, and make our way to our seats. The performance itself begins at 7:30pm. If we want to sit together we will have to coordinate via messenger to purchase our tickets at the same time so that we can get side by side tickets. But if we can't get seats side by side we will meet up at intermission to chat in the lobby!
I will be purchasing the least expensive ticket option which I think is in the $50 range seated in the upper balcony.
