🎮 August Game of the Month: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

This month, we’re diving into Jedi: Fallen Order, a single-player action-adventure game—even if you’re not a Star Wars superfan, don’t worry, you don’t need to know your Wookiees from your Ewoks to enjoy it. This should be available on game pass.

Here’s the setup: You play as Cal Kestis, a young Jedi-in-hiding on the run after Order 66, a galaxy-wide “Kill All Jedi” command that kind of ruined Jedi career prospects overnight. The story follows Cal as he tries to stay alive, face his trauma, and maybe stop the Empire from getting even worse.

Gameplay-wise, it's a mix of lightsaber combat, exploration, puzzle-solving, and just a sprinkle of rage-inducing platforming. (Seriously—jumping from wall to wall might test your inner peace more than any Sith ever could.)

Think it sounds too tough? Don’t worry. There’s an easy mode. But fair warning: no difficulty setting will save you from missing a jump and falling to your doom five times in a row. It’s part of the charm!

The main story is a breezy 15-20 hours, so totally doable in a few weekends—or one very determined Saturday.

We’ll be escaping the Florida inferno on Sunday, September 7th at 2PM inside the cool, AC-blessed oasis of Cueni Brewery Co. in Dunedin. Come chat Jedi stuff, laugh about how many vines we missed grabbing, and enjoy a cold drink or two. Feel free to bring some food. All levels of gamers welcome!
