Paths of Remembrance – Introduction to Somatic Contact Improvisation (Open Level)
Contact Improvisation is a contemporary dance form in which we playfully explore movement possibilities through shared weight. It is physics in motion as well as a felt, moving encounter.
The somatic approach opens access to the body’s inherent wisdom, supporting us in playfully building basic skills for Contact Improvisation. You will learn:
- how movement is organized through the center and the spine (integrated movement organization)
- how to organize and use your own body weight organically and efficiently in dance
- how to move dynamically and three-dimensionally with a partner across different levels ✨
