This mountain bike tour starts in Leobendorf, near Vienna, and leads through the varied hilly landscape of the Weinviertel. The route is ideal for well-conditioned cyclists with moderate mountain biking experience who are looking for a sporting challenge. With a total length of around 45 km and an altitude difference of 800 m, the tour offers a cross-country experience with moderate climbs and descents, less technically demanding passages and single trails.

Start in Leobendorf and ascent to Toblerberg (355 m):

The tour starts in Leobendorf and initially leads along flat paths towards Toblerberg. The first ascent is moderate and offers a good opportunity to prepare for the challenges ahead.

Continue to the Waschberg (350 m):

From Toblerberg, the route continues on gravel paths to Waschberg. The ascent is even and easy to ride. Once at the top, you can enjoy the view of the surrounding landscape.

Ascent to the Michelberg (409 m):

A short descent is followed by the ascent to the Michelberg, the highest point of the tour. The ascent is physically demanding but technically easy. The panoramic view from the summit is an absolute highlight.

Over the Steinberg (approx. 350 m):

From the Michelberg, the route continues to the Steinberg. The paths are wide and easy to ride on, and the descent from the Steinberg is smooth and not technically demanding.

Flat stage through villages:

The first hills are followed by a short, relaxed flat stage through some picturesque villages. Here you can relax and enjoy the surroundings before heading uphill again.

Praunsberg (approx. 370 m):

The next challenge is the Praunsberg. The ascent is moderate but noticeable and the descent offers a nice change of pace.

Dahberg (approx. 350 m):

The last striking point of the tour is the Dahberg. A final ascent awaits here before returning to Leobendorf on varied paths.

Return to Leobendorf:

The tour ends with a pleasant descent and flat sections that take you back to Leobendorf in a relaxed manner.

Technique: The route is technically easy and runs mainly on gravel, forest and field paths. There are hardly any single trails, so the tour falls more into the cross-country category.
Equipment: A gravel bike or mountain bike is recommended, as many sections are on unpaved paths.

Fitness level: The tour requires a good basic level of fitness, as the climbs add up to around 800 meters in altitude.
