Are you ready for a sporting challenge? Our bike meeting takes you on a challenging and varied tour that combines the Heideradweg with a ride around the Hundsheimer Berge. This route is perfect for more ambitious cyclists who enjoy short but tough climbs, fast descents and an intense cycling experience.
Tour description:
Start in Gattendorf - Heideradweg
Start in Gattendorf! From here, you first cycle along the Heideradweg, which takes you through the idyllic floodplain landscape. The flat sections invite you to cycle at a brisk pace, while the varied surroundings with meadows, rivers and small villages make for a successful start.
Around the Hundsheimer Berge
After the start of the Heideradweg, things get a little faster: the circumnavigation of the Hundsheimer Berge awaits you with short, challenging climbs, varied paths and spectacular views. Here you can put your fitness and riding technique to the test. The hilly topography and rapid descents make this section a real highlight for ambitious cyclists.
Return via the Heideradweg
After cycling around the Hundsheimer Berge you return to the Heideradweg. From here it is only flat and the remaining kilometers are covered at a sporty pace and the tour ends with a strong finish.
Two short breaks of 10-15 minutes are planned in between.

Speed: Do you feel ready to ride the 85 - 90 km at an average speed of at least 22-23 km/h? If you can't keep up, we'll wait once, maybe twice, but the third time you'll have to continue on your own. You have been warned.
Note: The route is mostly paved. It is mainly bike/goods roads and road sections through smaller villages.
How to get there: The REX 6 train runs every hour in the direction of Gattendorf and the journey from the Vienna city limits takes approx. 40 minutes. By car via the A4 and A6, the journey also takes around 40 minutes. There are plenty of parking spaces at the station.
