Pabis Forecast - A practical example of forecasting in retail using Big Data in the Mexican Market.

The retail industry is extremely dynamic and demanding. Data is everywhere, but making sense of that data for an effective business decision process is not that simple. In this talk, Maria Ines Plaza will provide the practical experience of advanced analytics in retail through the example of Pabis Forecast. Pabis Forecast uses Deep Learning applied to time series to forecast into the level of granularity SKU-Store. The whole solution is hosted in AWS and it is optimized on the usage of resources making it scalable and competitive.

Bio:
Mari is an experienced professional with over 20+ years in the business process management and innovation field. Versatile and quick-learning, with a unique mix of skills in the technical, business and people management areas. Originally from Venezuela, Maria Ines has lived the last 8 years in Vienna, and it has been collaborating with Pabis since 2015. A former Microsoft employee, she has gained experience in small, medium and big companies. As a Data Scientist, she uses R, Python, SQL and NoSQL databases to make customers' dreams come true.
