The notes from underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky
Details
Notes from Underground is a seminal 1864 novella written by the celebrated Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky. Widely considered by literary critics to be one of the very first works of existentialist literature, it takes the form of a bitter, fragmented "confession" narrated by an unnamed, isolated 40-year-old former civil servant living in St. Petersburg, commonly referred to as the Underground Man.
