DAY TRIP TO THE ROMAN EXCAVATIONS AT CARNUNTUM/PETRONELL

Details
"Austria Romana" is the well used name for the four centuries of Roman civilisation at the teritory of modern Austria. Three provinces were located there: Pannonia, Noricum and Raetia. Maybe the most important city in these provinces was Carnuntum, a small, but vivid trading town near to the wild frontier to the barbarian land in the North.
We want to spend a day with a closer look at the interesting archeological sites at Carnuntum, Bad Deutsch Altenburg and Petronell, which give an exciting overview about the Roman origins of Austria!
The details will be announced soon. But we will visit most of the sites and have some relaxed walking in the Pannonian planes near the Danube, too.
This activity is non-commercial and unguided. It's a group activity of people who spend freetime together. The organizers are not responsible in any way for the participants or their equipment. Everyone bears their own responsibility!
