Details

How we play?

There will be four teams. Each teams has five players.
Teams will be put together by the host to have balanced teams.
All teams plays multiple times against each other. For each game the team nominates two players to compete against the other team.
two pairs of your team play at the same time, the fifth player takes a break
the resting player must participate in the next game of your team (no benching of players!). Every player takes at least one break.
10 minutes warmup time in the beginning, each team gets one court assigned
A slot is 18 minutes, 15 minutes of play time, 3 minutes for switching players, drinking water etc.
You play until the whistle, then the game is stopped.
During this 18 minutes, you play a single set with unlimited number of games. The number of games won/lost will be counted.
You play two slots against each team.
The team with the best differential between won and lost games wins the tournament

Price

17 € for people with one break
14 € for people with two breaks
You can pay via Revolut, PayPal, instant Bank Transfer or Cash. I prefer transfer over cash.

Equipment

Cancellation

Cancellations later than 24h before the tournament will be charged a 15 € late cancellation fee. It will be fully donated to Médecins Sans Frontières (Ärzte ohne Grenzen)
Uncommunicated no-shows will be banned from future events as this tournament concept only works with 20 people

Important

Playing competitive is allowed (Smashing balls, hitting balls close to opponent player etc.)
We still value fair play and sportsmanship.
Having fun together is way more important as winning.

Other information

We are respectful and warm with each other. Our cultural and professional background is diverse
The host does not participate in the tournament but will be the tournament lead and acts as referee
The venue has changing rooms and showers. It is allowed to use the sauna there free of charge.
