I just moved to Vancouver and I love to dress up in historical inspired clothing and have "tea" or lunch or whatever. Also strolling and shopping are fun. This is a social group, we have fun, and enjoy each other's company and admire each others outfits.
Mostly I dress in late Victorian or Edwardian clothing, but I have 1920's, 1950's, and Renaissance too.
Historical accuracy is nice but not necesary however you should have outfits not "costumes".
Whether you buy, make, or find treasures in thrift stores and put together an outfit, are historically correct or creatively anachronistic (which includes SteamPunk) you just have to enjoy being beautifully dressed and the center of attention .....
