Truth: Absolute and relative

Details

Absolute truth is the belief that there are things that are always true, at all times, regardless of things like culture, time period, etc. Relative truth is the complete opposite of that, believing that things are only true for individuals, or at most for large groups of people in a certain setting.
What would be good examples of either and do you believe they can coexist? How does this play into world religions? Who defines truth and can we rely on continuously changing scientific updates for absolute truth? Has our society mistaken perspective for truth? Is truth complex and multilayered to be sought/discovered or is it simple?
