The Forward Party is a new political party focused on actually solving America's problems. We host regular events to connect with like-minded reformers & support high quality candidates for local, state and national office.

Virginia Forward Party members and friends will have an opportunity to help out their community by joining the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail on Saturday, March 28th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM cleaning up Gravelly Point. Here are some important details regarding this upcoming community volunteer opportunity:

#### Overview

Volunteers will remove vegetation growing into the trail north of Gravelly Point.
The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be improving the trail north of Gravelly Point.

#### Volunteers may perform some of the following work:
- Using pruners and loppers to cut vegetation
- Using hand saws to cut tree branches
- Sweeping or using a leaf blower
- Hauling away vegetation
- Picking up trash
#### What to Bring:
- Water
- Gloves (We'll have some to borrow)
- Long sleeves and long pants (we sometimes encounter poison ivy)
[Bonus] If 10+ Forward Party members and friends RSVP for this event, then the Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail will give the Party a shout-out on their social media platforms to help spread the word about us!

[April 2026] NoVA Forward Monthly Social

The NoVA Forward Party's January 2026 Social Event will be at Brass Rabbit in Arlington on Wednesday, April 8th starting at 7:00 PM. Forward Party members and guests will have an opportunity to socialize with each other, learn more about the Party and other opportunities to participate, all while enjoying wonderful food and drink!

Brass Rabbit is located about 2 minutes away from the Clarendon Metro Station on the Orange and Silver Lines. Brass Rabbit is also located right next to two Colonial Parking Garages, both a minute's walk away (Clarendon Center South & Station Square locations). Attendees will be expected to pay for their individual or group items.

- Welcome any newcomers - provide a brief Q&A, point them towards resources to learn more, and generally bring them onboard
- Keep members in the loop - relay any pertinent news from the Forward Party in Virginia and Forward National.
- Make progress on NOVA Forward's 4 main goals:
- A) Grow our membership,
- B) Establish ourselves in the community,
- C) Recruit candidates and elected officials, and
- D) Support affiliated candidates' campaigns
