Hi there!
This is an attempt to revive "NOVA Hiking Collective" but with my own spin.

The primary difference will be that my hikes will take place on Saturday mornings.
If you like hiking with other locals, this group will be for the young and young at heart who enjoy getting outside, staying active, and meeting new people from the DMV area.

Most of my hikes will be early day hikes in and around Northern Virginia.
Potential trails will be in:

Shenandoah National Park
Great Falls Park
Sky Meadows State Park

This group is perfect for you if:

You enjoy moderate day hikes
You want to meet other motivated locals
You enjoy the outdoors and staying active

Important note:
Group organizers are volunteers, not professional guides. You are responsible for your own safety, preparation, and readiness during the hike. By attending our events, you agree that the hikes we organize can be dangerous and cause serious injury.

We will hike the out and back that is 4.4 miles, 1217 mile elevation. It features views of amazing waterfalls!

Plan:

Meet up at the South River Falls trailhead at 8:30am. This will be a big parking lot with plenty of places to park and it has a public restroom. We will set out at 8:45am and hike at a moderate pace. For this hike we will take a specific route so we can see the base of the waterfall! We will hang out at the base for awhile and then head back up! We will aim to be back at the parking lot around 11:15am.

Important notes:

This will be a mediun length morning hike, so all you should need is water and a snack.

Each vehicle will need either a park pass or pay $30 to get into the entrance of SNP. Only one pass or payment is needed per car, so carpool if necessary.
