Virtual Escape Games

The pandemic prompted an explosion in the development of online, virtual escape games, murder mysteries, and other themed puzzle and problem-solving adventures. This group is for people who want to play these virtual "escape" games with others who share their interest in puzzles, problem-solving and immersive online themed games.

Typically, a group of 2-10 people joins in a video conference (Zoom, Discord, etc.) and logs into a game at the same time. They then work together to escape the room or solve the mystery. Since escape games are virtual, members can join from anywhere, and anyone can host a get-together with a group of like-minded adventurers. All that's needed is a decent internet connection and a love of puzzles and mysteries.

There is no fee to join this group, but individuals who purchase games in order to host an event may recoup their costs by charging an event fee.

Although I will be inviting game developers to join this group, and am a game developer myself, this group is not specifically tied to any particular game developer. The only rule is that events must feature virtual escape games, in the broader sense, excluding online board gaming (like boardgamearena) or MMORPG-type gaming.
