Join us Thursday, September 24 from 7-10 PM at Frontier Tower in San Francisco, in the Spaceship on the 2nd floor. It's Meta Connect week, so expect a mix of regulars plus a healthy dose of visiting XR geniuses who are in town for the week.

Two speakers, both named Julian.
Two new headset demos: Pico Project Swan + Steam Frame!

Julian Gomez was LEGO's Chief Scientist and Director of its Advanced Technology Group in the 1990s, where he ran a program called Darwin that set out to move the entire LEGO system into the digital realm โ€” not just bricks on a computer, but the tools to assemble them, haptic devices to build with, and from there into VR, AI, and robotics. He also wrote twixt, an animation system used for SIGGRAPH work and by studios worldwide, founded MacroMind Three-D, was principal engineer on Apple's QuickDraw 3D, and served as a senior scientist at NASA. He recently co-founded Nuon Play, building XR play technology based on cognitive science, and the Center for Computer Graphics History.

Julian Reyes is the founder and director of the Virtual Worlds Museum, which exists to explore, preserve, and showcase the evolution of immersive worlds. He received the AUREA Impact Award in 2025 and is a juror for the 2026 award. Previously at Meta, Cisco, and Exponent, and a speaker at AWE XR, Immersive X, and Immerse Global. He co-leads the XR Guild Library.

SPONSOR DEMO: Pico Project Swan -> Pico Space Pro a lightweight, dual-chip mixed reality flagship headset designed for spatial computing and wearable workstations.

DEMO: Boxtree makes magical tabletop games for mixed reality. They just released Table Space on Steam Frame, where you can create and play cross-platform with friends on Quest and Vision Pro. They will be demoing Table Space on Steam Frame in mixed reality using the Arcturus Vision Camera at this event.

We LOVE demos! Please bring your prototype apps, games, and hardware projects to share.

SVVR is a community of VR, AR, AI, and Spatial Computing enthusiasts, developers, and creators - meeting monthly since 2013 to share pizza, learning, and live demos.
