Artist Craig Lay will share his personal rediscovery of art and his deep dive into the expressive - and often challenging - world of watercolor. Just a few years into this renewed creative journey, Craig approaches watercolor as both a student and explorer, drawn to its unpredictability, nuance, and rewards. In this presentation, he’ll discuss the influences and inspirations that have shaped his work, walk through his creative process, and share examples of his artwork - including original paintings brought in for viewing. Craig will also give a hands-on look at the materials he uses and how they play a role in his artistic decisions. This talk offers an honest, insightful look at growth, curiosity, and the evolving relationship between artist and medium - perfect for artists at any stage of their own journey.
