Marcel de Jong will present an interactive workflow with Maya 2018 and Arnold 5. Subjects covered will range from nParticles, MASH proceduralism, Arnold Stand-Ins and Curve rendering to IES lights and atmospherics. You won't believe the feedback from Arnold is keeping up with the edits made in Maya!

Additionally, we feature Arnold’s memory efficiency and how it can benefit every user and every production by rendering truly amazing volumes of geometry.

We will also discuss Cloud Rights. Which products get cloud rights? How do they 'work' or apply to your workflow? Who gets access to them? Does this mean you get more render power?

The event will consist of live demo with time for Q&A.

Marcel De Jong - Technical Team Lead - Autodesk, Americas M&E

Marcel specializes in 3D production for Film/TV and Design. He worked as a digital FX consultant for studios such as Dream Quest Images and Warner Digital. His background is in Industrial/Concept Design and his work has been published in ‘Popular Mechanics’, ‘ID magazine’, ‘CGW’, and ‘Innovation’.

Today Marcel provides various technical services for many Autodesk Film and TV customers ranging from smaller to larger accounts such as ILM, Pixar, and DreamWorks. Marcel is also a co-founder of Gnomon Inc.
