Welcome to Volleyballers!
We are an easy-going beach volleyball group. We promote using all 3 hits to bump, set, and spike the ball.
This group is intermediate and up. We ask that you’re able to pass, set and hit. If you’re a beginner, we would recommend maybe taking a lesson or clinic.

We set up 2x2 nets (intermediate/advanced) and 4x4 nets (all). We require and RSVP to attend our events. All people that play at our events must be group members. If you have been waitlisted on one of our Sunday events, you're welcome to join us after 11am when the crowd starts to thin down a bit. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Our group plays primarily in Ocean Beach, San Diego and occasionally in South Mission Beach (when there's CBVA tournaments in OB).
We charge dues of $30 per year, with a 2 week free trial. All funds collected are used toward equipment and running the group. ALL members are asked to help set up in the morning and take down nets in the afternoon.
Play guidelines we follow:
*The first 4 people that arrive and help set up in the mornings are allowed to play 2 rounds of round robin play if they like. When setting up a new court you and those that helped are able to play a best of 3 series. Doubles players that arrive after nets are set up and play on open courts and those are the first challenge courts.
• To play on a net, write your name on that net's challenge wait-list.
• If you write your name on a challenge board, please do not play or write your name on any other wait-lists. If you do play on another court, please erase your name.
• Winning team stays on the court, up to a maximum of 3 games.
If you are planning on playing 2x2 Volleyball and aren't there to set up the initial courts on Sunday mornings AND the initial courts are full when you arrive and there are still courts to set up, YOU NEED TO SET UP ANOTHER COURT. Everyone that has signed up for this group has agreed to assist in setting up and taking down nets and this will be strictly enforced. We all want to play as much volleyball as we can and to keep it fair for those that get there early and help set up, EVERYONE has to do their part. Towards the end of the Meetup, if you are the last ones on a court and no one is signed up to play, you are required to take down the court as well. Please make sure all equipment returns to the bag it came from.
