So you’ve gone balls-deep? Now it’s time to go deeper.
Our much more intense head coach (Jamie) invites you to challenge the Balls Deep team in competitive games!
→ Level: Upper Intermediates/Advanced. For those that want to play in an intense and competitive environment. Advanced players and volleyball fanatics welcome - still fun and supportive vibes but with more intensity to improve each other and for bragging rights.
An advanced player is someone who:
- can perform to a consistant standard (over 80%) across all skills such as serving, recieving, spiking etc.
- knows their best position(s) and their place in a 5-1 rotation.
- wants to compete in a team and enjoys an intense competitive environment.
- understands volleyball culture and etiquette to ensure safety and a competitive experience.
→ Format: 2 courts, 3 hours, full 6 v 6 games. Group warmup and 4-4-2 before warmup games to 15 with mixed teams. In the second half, the Balls Deep team and 3 other teams will compete against each other. Scores will be kept... (this format will change based on availability and turnout).
→ Facilities: Changing rooms and showers.
→ Event is held in English (Japanese support available)
→ Club/Event Fee: ¥1000
【When you arrive】
→Arrive on time to ensure training runs efficiently.
→go straight to 3F 競技場
→Change your shoes before entering the gym.
→ Say 'kyo-gi-jou' (競技場) if the reception asks.
→Showers and changing rooms available (please don't use the pool changing rooms)
【Bring】
Indoor shoes/Gym shoes
※NO outdoor shoes
The gym may refuse entry if you don't have indoor shoes.
