Volunteers and Beers

Welcome to Volunteers and Beers, the Sunday crew that believes you have to earn your weekend pint. If you love our local parks but hate seeing them trashed, and if you know that a cold drink tastes infinitely better after doing some good, you’ve found your people.

How It Works
Every Sunday, we pick a local green space that needs a little love. We spend a couple of hours picking up litter, clearing pathways, and making the neighborhood beautiful again. Once the trash bags are tied off and the work gloves come off, we head straight to a carefully selected bar or restaurant right down the street. We purposely pair every park with a nearby watering hole so we can immediately reward our hard work with great food, cold drinks, and excellent company.

Who Should Join
Anyone looking to give back to the community without sacrificing their Sunday social life. Whether you are new to the city, looking to make a few friends, or just want an excuse to get outside and grab a drink without the weekend guilt, you are welcome here. No previous volunteer experience—or beer snobbery—is required.

What to Expect & Bring

Clothes to work in: Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate layers you don’t mind getting a little dusty.

Sturdy footwear: Sneakers or boots for walking through grass and brush.

Supplies: We will provide the trash bags and extra work gloves, but feel free to bring your own gloves or grabbers if you have them
