What we’re about
Welcome!
Vegan Social Clubs was established in October 2015 by 12 vegan strangers who wanted to meet face-to-face after months of online interactions. It was such an amazing experience socializing, dining and networking with other vegans in the real world that we launched our Facebook social club. After a few lunches and fun get-togethers, the group took off!
If you are a member of FB, please search and like our Vegan Social Clubs page and join our group, Vegan Social Clubs - Atlanta. Find us on Instagram and Twitter, as well @VSClife
Our group is open to everyone, regardless of where you may find yourself in this vegan / plant-based lifestyle. We look forward to seeing you soon! We commit to update the group weekly, and to take all suggestions, recommendations, considerations and requests to heart. If you're interested in helping to manage the group, please reach out to me. Email or text me directly for the quickest response.
Thanks,
Cris

For this Special Virtual Documentary Night, in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we are meeting to talk about the documentary, The Cheech. The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum showcases the actor's collection of more than 700 pieces by Mexican-American artists. Told through perspectives of established artists and those who know him best, the film tells his journey from comedy icon to Chicano art advocate. Director Varda Bar-Kar, Producer Alessandra Pasquino, and Artists Michael Alvarez, Alfonso Gonzalez Jr., and Jaime Muñoz will be joining us for a special guest Q&A!
>>Click here to watch The Cheech for free<<

Passcode: 861888
This event is posted in multiple meetup groups, and on Eventbrite, as well as with members of the Community Documentary Night email list. (Message me if interested in joining the email list) Therefore, THIS RSVP LIST IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ATTENDING THE EVENT. So even if you only see one person RSVPed in this meetup group, there will always be others in attendance from other groups. We tend to have at least 20 on average. By inviting numerous groups that increases the likelihood that those in attendance will be from varying backgrounds and beliefs. This is done purposefully to provide everyone with the opportunity to hear a wide range of perspectives.
This event is open to all who are open to all. The one thing we ask is that people allow others to get their full thought out and that any disagreement is voiced in a civil way. Check out the Community Documentary Night website for more info or links to previously shown documentaries.
Thank you and hope to see you there!
