The morning featured another discussion between Sioned and Ro regarding manpower allocations. Both are correct that they are understaffed. Sioned lost this one and Luka stayed with the main group. Jane, Gloria, and Tom were not feeling well, so Harold and Froggy cast cures on them so they could function.

Sioned, Queller, Nicole, Dartyen, Keith, Luna, and Dog # 6 set off to guard the limbing team: teamsters Ferd and Betty Berful who handled the cart, fighters Oliver and Jeremy who would guard the group during the return trip, and Esther, Hester, and Marie, who (assisted by the fighters and teamsters) would do the limbing.

The party was halfway between the abandoned village and the fallen trees when Sioned spotted a disturbance in the waist-high grass. There were 50 - 60 giant ants approaching. To make a long story short, the group killed most of the ants and drove away the rest. But it was a near thing. Dartyen, Sioned, and Luna were all out of commission. Everyone was very happy that Oliver and Jeremy had remained in their armor to help in the fight. Sioned employed her one-use Ring of Magic Missile. Keith discharged his one-use Ring of Pyrotechnics.

Once things died down, the party reversed course and returned to the stockade without incident. Harold, who had one Cure Light Wounds spell in hand, cast it on Sioned. Then the Clerics rested and started throwing Cures when they were refreshed. This happened multiple times. The night passed uneventfully. The injured received the Goddess's Blessing.

Most people were back to normal at breakfast except Queller 39/49, Luna 15/16, and Oliver 7/10.
