Lake Forest Park 11k and 6k walk
Details
Get to know Lake Forest Park neighborhood at little bit better by walking through parks, a veterans cemetery, along the Burke Gilman Trail with views of Lake Washington, and Mt. Rainier, ending the walk through the Old Goat Trail.
This walk is on sidewalks and paved trails with a steady incline at the beginning for 1.3 miles. There are two steep inclines, and one steep decline for about two blocks each. Everyone is welcome to walk at their own pace. Come prepared for the weather and walking.
Sign in required between 9:00-9:30am. There will be a lead walker for the 6k and 11K starting at 9:15am. Maps and directions are available. Restrooms are at Starbucks in Lake Forest Park, and the Log Boom Park in Kenmore.
The club has costs to put on these walks so we ask for a donation. IVV/AVA credit is available at $4.00. Challenges include Rails to Trails, Veterans (in the cemetery), and LFP City Hall.
