This Saturday walk is free to all. Hugo will lead this long walk. Rain cancels. It is a ferry ride from the S. F. Ferry Building to Sausalito and a walk back to the starting place. Usually only half of the "Yes" RSVPs show up.

Hugo lead this walk one time in this direction on Jan. 27th and earlier 4 times in the opposite direction: a walk to Sausalito with a return to S. F. by ferry. All 5 walks were very popular.

We will meet in front of the outside stairs in front of the Clock Tower of the S. F. Ferry Building at 10:15 AM and at 10:25 AM walk to the nearby dock of the Golden Gate Ferry to Sausalito behind the Clock Tower. If late go directly to the ferry.

Below is a link to a map of the area:

There are restrooms inside the S. F. Ferry Building on the 1st & 2nd floors. Bring a sack lunch and a water bottle. Howard will be at the start to take roll. On the ferry we will be on the top deck. Also, the ferry has restrooms inside.

The ferry leaves at 10:40 AM and arrives at the Sausalito Ferry Terminal at 11:10 AM. People may join us in Sausalito when we arrive at the Sausalito Ferry Terminal.

Then we will walk to Fort Baker and then up to Golden Gate Vista Point on the North side of the G. G. Bridge for a restroom stop. Then we walk across the bridge.

You can purchase tickets in advance for the ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito. Also, you don't need to buy a ticket if you have a "Clipper Card" with money on it and using it will cut your ferry price by about half!

This will be a no history and all health walk: a long walk of about 9.7 miles and Hugo will lead and stop only 3 times for restrooms: (1.) at Vista Point on the bridge's North side; (2.) near the Warming Hut between Crissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge; and (3.) inside the Sala Burton Building at Aquatic Park. Attendees will decide by vote if they want to eat their sack lunches near the 1st restroom stop about 12:30 PM or near the 2nd restroom stop about 1:40 PM.

Anyone can leave the walk at any time without penalty. Those who leave the walk at the South end of the G. G. Bridge can take free Presidigo buses back to downtown S. F. Others who walk the whole way will walk through Crissy Field, Marina Green, Fort Mason, Fisherman's Wharf, and see the many Embarcadero piers, such as Pier 39.

Practice makes perfect so we keep improving all our walks.
