July 4th Fireworks Viewing Hike at Mesa Ridge - South Summerlin

The Mesa Viewpoint Hike is an about 4 mile there and back trail, with over 600ft of gentle elevation gain to a ridge in South Summerlin that offers an excellent view across the Vegas Valley and The Strip. The MeetUp will be at the Mesa Park as there’s no other suitable location other than near the trailhead. Look for a silver Jeep Cherokee at the parking area near the tennis courts with an US flag proudly displayed from the window.

As with most of the hikes I host, there's no scrambling or exposure; Kids and dogs are OK so long as their own cleans up after them - and they’re not allowed to bother anybody. Be sure to bring water, study footwear, and a light source. While at the Mesa Ridge, we’ll view the sunset, and the fireworks display at the Strip and surrounding areas, which should commence at around 9:00pm.

I’ll e-mail a comment regarding the weather the day prior, which will make mention if the hike is postponed due to an unexpected circumstance. I’ll also include a cell number for those who've signed up. Bear in mind when hiking to take only pictures and leave only Bigfoot prints…
