What we’re about
- Please read all the information and these rules before you ask to be a member.
- WHO? We are a group of people who enjoy Music, Movies, Restaurants, Conversation, Laughing, Disney Resorts, Farmers’ Markets, Cruises and just having an all-around fun time. If you enjoy making new friends, mingling and socializing, then join us in this supportive community.
- WHAT? We will post events at varied venues, specifically Disney World venues. If tickets are required then the participant is responsible for buying tickets before the event, subsequent admission costs and fees, park entry fees, cruise costs, parking, and related event costs. Please visit the message boards and give input on preferred events, dates, and times. If you feel comfortable enough to Host a meet-up, please offer to do so. Reiterating, This is your group. If you like to do something and just don't enjoy doing it by yourself, suggest a Meetup!
- WHERE? The Disney World metropolitan area and central Florida cruise ports.
- RULES:
- A well-defined photographic picture will be required before approval as a new member or to continue as a member. Exceptions will be made for victims of domestic violence or stalking.
- Real, legal first and last names must be used.
- All members should be open about who they are, their intentions, and their affiliations. All group and event descriptions should be accurate, so members can make informed decisions about their participation.
- Your group affiliation and attendance must be public.
- Respecting people's time, attention, personal choices, and personal boundaries is essential to creating safe and trusting communities. Be respectful in interactions with people and in content posted on the platform. Behaviors that are dishonest, undermine the integrity of the group, violate personal boundaries, or serve to intentionally upset people are not allowed.
- This group is for members 50+, but all ages are welcome.
- Our events are not designed to be for dating or business solicitation and will not be allowed.
- Engaging with anyone in a non-consensual way is strictly prohibited. If ever in doubt, ask the person for permission.
- If you cannot come to an event you signed up for, you must message us as soon as possible. We use text messaging at events to connect with people who are late. The Meetup comments can also be used, but texting is preferred.
- Members can be removed at any time without notice for non-attendance.
- You agree to have your photo taken, shared, and posted on this site.
- These rules will be modified for articulable safety reasons. Safety is always the first concern on the internet.
