Cooksbridge to Southease stunning River Ouse walk featuring Lewes

A most wonderful 8.5 mile walk firstly for a short amble in the wonderful countryside and then along the River Ouse starting in delightful Cooksbridge and featuring wonderful historical Lewes which you will have time to explore.

Meeting by the ticket office please arrive by 9.45am and we shall buy group train tickets and then take the 10.07am train that arrives at Cooksbridge at 11.21am after changing at East Croydon.

If you arrive after 10am then you should take the train at 10.15am direct to East Croydon and then change for train to Cooksbridge.

The walk shall start immediately.

Train ticket : return to Southease.

Meetup fee £8 payable in cash or £6 non refundable by bank transfer in advance, details supplied by private message. No PayPal.

Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes / boots/ trainers.

You should have adequate and appropriate insurance and be able to walk at 2.5 miles per hour.

We shall need to leave Lewes at 1.50pm to continue the walk so that we can take the train back from Southease at 4.05pm that arrives back at 5.36pm after changing at Lewes.
