Lune Valley canal rivers delightful waterfalls & stunning coast

A truly amazing four days of walking in Lancashire stretching into Cumbria and Yorkshire too !

This trip is my favourite trip in the British Isles !

You need book accommodation for 3 nights in Morecambe for Saturday, Sunday and Monday night.

Return train tickets to Morecambe shall be purchased as from early March.

Likely itinerary :

Saturday

Meet 3.45pm for 4pm by Eric Morecambe statue

4 mile coastal walk by the beaches to Duke of Rothesay pub in Heysham.

Bus or walk back to Morecambe

Sunday

Morning

Meet 9.55am

Bus no 5 at 10.09am to Carnforth train station then bus no 755 at 10.56am to Heron Theatre in Beetham

River Bela and coastal walk to Arnside

Train at 1.34pm to Grange over Sands

Coastal hilly and forest walk circular walk from Grange over Sands possibly via Cartmel

Trains / bus back to Morecambe as from 4.24pm, 5.20pm or at 6.22pm

Monday

Morning

Coach 9.30am

Fabulous Ingleton Waterfalls - walk of 4.5 miles by River Twiss and River Doe and 6 waterfalls along the trail.

I will pay whole amount by credit card and everyone will need pay me £10 in cash

Coach back to Carnforth at 2.30pm

Afternoon

Optional 4 mile walk from Canal Turn pub in Carnforth along Lancaster Canal and then Morecambe Bay back to Morecambe or take the bus to Morecambe from Carnforth

Tuesday

Coach at 9am

Absolutely sensational and challenging 6 mile walk by River Lune from Crook O Lune Bridge to Hornby.

Lunch in Hornby

Coach at 3.30pm to Lancaster for trains back to London

You should have appropriate and adequate insurance for this type of activity and be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour.

Meetup fee £40 ( season ticket holders : £30 ) payable by bank transfer, details supplied by private message.

Deposit for share of coach £45 to be paid by end of September.

Actual cost of coach is £50.
