Thorney Island

Lets walk 8 miles around this really wonderful Ministry of Defence island and its fabulous secluded beach and delightful wildlife !

Group return train tickets to Emsworth to be purchased as from 8.45am for the train at 9.36am that arrives at Southbourne at 11. 29am.

The walk will commence from Southbourne train station.

Or you may decide to drive.

Things to bring : packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket, walking shoes or trainers and suncream, sunhat and sunglasses.

If you like, by travelling light, you may stay in a hotel overnight on Saturday having perhaps walked Chichester to West Wittering.

You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity.
