About us
Our goal is to connect people with the natural world.
The Walnut Creek Open Space comprises more than 2,700 acres of land in Walnut Creek and Concord, CA. The land has been set aside to provide habitat and protection for native plants and animals so the community can benefit from engagement with this oasis, an undeveloped natural environment nearby.
We welcome all to help us achieve our goal by volunteering in one of our projects in the areas of outreach, restoration of habitat, and trail advocacy.
We are seeking volunteers to help us in many diverse areas, such as photography, web presence, and teaching. Other areas include planting and nurturing wildflowers, oaks, and other plants, trail maintenance, and environmental monitoring.
Check back often for announcements of volunteer opportunities!
