Hike: Seven Bends, VA

(Trailhead hike) Explore the newest state park in Virginia. The park is located in the picturesque "oxbow" area of the North Shenandoah River. Moderate hikers will cover the Eagle's Edge Trail, River Bend Rise Trail, Massanutten Trail, Talus Trail, Reservoir Trail and Gakotta Trail, while long hikers will add a there-and-back on the Massanutten Trail.
Est.: 10 miles, 2000' elevation, and 8 miles, 1500' elevation. Park map. Hike fee: $5.
