If you’re arriving in Puerto Rico early and want to spend your first day exploring the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, join me for a fun, self-guided geocaching-style adventure!
Our goal is to complete three Adventure Labs that are all within walking distance—no car needed once we reach Old San Juan:
- The Secrets of Casa Blanca Museum
- Icons of Puerto Rico – Old San Juan
- Paseo Nuestra Señora de Covadonga
Each lab takes you to fascinating landmarks and hidden corners of the city while sharing short stories and bits of history along the way. Completing all three will give us a great introduction to Old San Juan’s culture, architecture, and charm.
Maybe we’ll find a local spot for an authentic Puerto Rican lunch—something casual, flavorful, and true to the island’s spirit.
What’s an Adventure Lab?
Adventure Labs are part of the Geocaching platform. They’re like interactive walking tours that use your phone’s GPS to guide you to locations where you answer simple questions or complete small tasks to “unlock” the next stop. It’s an easy, fun way to explore new places with purpose.
Before you arrive:
Download the Adventure Lab app (free on both iOS and Android) and sign in with a free Geocaching account so you’re ready to go once we’re there.
If you’re up for a day of discovery, laughter, and a taste of local flavor, this will be the perfect warm-up before our weekend officially begins!
