Sip N' Stitch at Company Wine Bar
Details
Hello everyone, my name is Carrie and I will be hosting my first ever wine event with Wandering Women!
Join us for fun night of crafting and natural wines at Company Wine Bar in SE Portland. On Monday, May 18th from 5-7pm, SCRAP PDX will be hosting a hand-sewing social at Company. They will be bringing needles, mini embroidery hoops, embroidery floss in loads of colors, felt scrap, beads, buttons, & baubles, and templates in order to make all manner of decorative plush to celebrate the most important meal of the day... BREAKFAST! Sew felt eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, coffee, and more.
If you are not familiar with SCRAP PDX, they are a non-profit creative reuse center and retail store located in the Central Eastside that sells donated, affordable arts and crafts materials to reduce waste.
Tickets are required if you want to take part in the crafting. As of this posting, they had 20 tickets available. You can get tickets here: https://events.humanitix.com/sip-n-stitch-hand-sewing-social-at-company-wine-bar-felt-breakfast-crafts-21
Or if you aren't feeling "crafty" you can still join us for a glass of vino. No ticket required. Company is a casual, "natural wine garage" bar located off Belmont Street. It features rotating natural wines in an intimate "hangout" type setting.
Natural wines, by the way, are typically produced using organically or biodynamically farmed grapes with little to no chemical additives, sulfites, or industrial processing. Unlike conventional wine, it is usually unfiltered, unrefined, and fermented with native yeast to reflect its specific terroir, often resulting in a funkier, cloudier, and more rustic profile.
On Mondays all wines at Company are $2 off!
Company Wine Bar I 916 SE 34th Ave Suite B, Portland, OR 97214
Spots will be limited to 10 to keep it intimate. Hope to see you there!
