Let's celebrate Wandering Women and Oregon Wine month by tasting wines from some of our most revered women winemakers. Backcountry Wines has offered to curate a special tasting for our group featuring wines from either women-only winemakers or wife/husband teams.

Did you know that the Willamette Valley has a notably high and growing number of women winemakers compared to other regions? Some estimates say 30%! By comparison, Napa Valley only boasts 10%. The Willamette Valley is recognized as a hub for women working in all aspects of the wine industry and if you read Oregon Wine Press this month, then you know that we have a legacy of women leading the industry since its early days back in the 1960's and 70's.

Join us Wednesday, May 27 at 5pm at Backcountry Wine Tasting Room, located in the Old Ford Building at 2505 SE 11th Ave, Portland, OR 97202. Please note that the entrance is on SE Division between 10th & 11th.

A tasting flight of 6 wines will be $30. Glass pours are also available. Please feel free to bring in food and snacks. There is no food available to purchase.
