Beyond Small Talk: Reading Circle

A small reading circle by Warm Penguins for people who want their relationships to thrive, not just survive.

​Warm Penguins is about helping people build more intentional, connected relationships through conversations, experiences, and small rituals.

​Beyond Small Talk is our reading circle where we take one idea about relationships, read it beforehand, and explore it together over a casual discussion.

​Every few weeks, we'll meet in a cosy setting over a drink or afternoon tea. There are no lectures, no right or wrong answers, and no pressure to speak. We'll have a few guided questions to help the conversation along, and you're welcome to share your thoughts, listen, or do a bit of both.

​The goal is simple: reflect on our own relationships, hear different perspectives, and learn something new together.

Who Is It For?
​This reading circle is for people who are currently in a relationship and are curious about what makes relationships work well.
​Whether you come on your own or with your partner, you're equally welcome. You can also bring a friend who is currently in a relationship.

What to Expect
​We'll keep the group small, with up to 8 people, so there's plenty of room for everyone to participate at their own comfort level.
​We'll spend about 1.5 hours:

• ​discussing the article through a few guided questions
• ​sharing different perspectives and personal reflections
• ​enjoying a drink and taking a break from the usual routine

​Not a workshop, no right or wrong answers, and no pressure to speak.​

​Time: 3pm–4:30pm
Cost: Free
Format: Afternoon tea break
A relaxed afternoon gathering to chat about relationships, exchange perspectives, and enjoy a drink together.
