Endeavour School is Hosting its third Astronomy Night - FREE and open to the public! Celebrate NASA's 60th, and Apollo 11’s 50th anniversary!
Telescope Viewing of the Moon and Deep Sky Objects at sunset. (Weather permitting.)
Lectures at 7:00 PM: Several short astronomy and space lectures will repeat every 30 minutes - so you can see several of them!
Ask an Astronomer: Several members of the Warren Astronomical Society and five volunteer NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassadors will answer your questions about astronomy and space.
Hands-On Space Science Software: Come to the PC lab and try-out hands-on astronomy and space visualization software:
• Kerbal Space Program —Build rockets and launch them into orbit!
• NASA Eyes on the Solar System —Fly along with NASA space missions, and view the solar system from any planet or moon.
• Stellarium —See the night sky from anywhere on the Earth.
Astronomy Videos: Library computers will be showing images from current space missions, and stunning imagery from space!
Walk the Solar System: See how far apart the planets really are in a scale-model of our solar system! Learn about the Sun. planets, asteroids, comets and more!
Space Images: The school hallways will be filled with images of space.
Hold a meteorite! Handle a remnant from the formation of the solar system!
Raffle: Tickets: $1. You do not need to be present to win.
• 1st prize: An Orion tabletop reflector telescope , and a signed copy of Turn Left at Orion by Br. Guy Consolmagno.
• 2nd Prize: A Bushnell binocular, and a copy of "The Stars: A New Way to See Them" by H. A. Rey.
