What we’re about
Warung Atheist / Atheist Cafe is a community of dedicated atheists from Malaysia and Singapore, founded in 2014. While we welcome everyone, our group has a special focus on Malay-speaking individuals, because conversations about atheism in Malay are still rare and often silenced. That said, we’re fully bilingual and usually switch between Malay and English as the discussion flows.
We provide a safe, informal space for open conversations about religion, belief, doubt, science, philosophy, and pretty much everything else under the sun. As atheists, we don’t believe in sacred cows, so nothing is off-limits. We love thinking critically, asking tough questions, and occasionally just having a good laugh.
