# All of you that have been waiting to challenge the Level 1 certification, here is your chance.
TO BE CLEAR, THIS IS AN ASSESSMENT AND NOT A TRAINING!
There will be different stations where you will display your skills to accomplish a certain task. Any of the items from the EL and Level 1 list may be part of the assessment and there is a written test. The MMO and all hitches tied with a VT Prusik are also possible assessment items. It is scheduled to take 2 days.
If, at anytime, you perform an operation in a scenario where a life is put at risk, your assessment will be over. Open carabiners supporting a life or being stopped by an assessor to avoid a failure are examples of a life at risk. You will only be given one attempt to challenge a level 1 assessment. Make the most of your attempt.
You will be scored on a scale from 1 to 5 for each topic. 5 is perfect and 1 is a failure.
