Moab / La Sal Mountains Hiking & Camping Trip - Labor Day Weekend

Details
Please read the FULL event description, and review the details before signing up. Please do not sign up for this if you cannot attend the entire event... that is, Friday evening through Monday evening (Aug 29 - Sept 1st).
About
The La Sal Mountains are located on the Utah Colorado border East of Moab, Utah. This mountain range is the second highest mountain range in Utah at just under 13,000 feet. They were named by Spanish explorers... The Salt Mountains. They are an island of blue and white in a sea of red rock. An icon visible for hundreds of miles in all directions. They are a visual point of reference for hikes on the Colorado plateau. But most importantly, they are my favorite mountain range on Earth... and we are going there to explore!
We will be escaping the heat of Moab to enjoy the cool mountains. We will be camping above 8,000 feet by a mountain lake.
Special on this trip: We have invited Alex of "Let's Eat". He will be doing a presentation on how to prepare classic New York style pizza at camp.
Details
Some carpooling on this trip may be necessary to get to tailheads. Four wheel drive or higher clearance SUVs are helpful but not required. If you have to work and know you'll be arriving late Friday, please inform me of that by text, or in meetup messages, as I will have to coordinate arrival times and camping location with you. (Camp location made known to paid attendees only).
Signup:
RSVP's are open to those interested in attending. Those signing up will be INITIALLY WAITLISTED. Think of the waitlist as a standby list. This trip is open to 18+ and 14-18 who like hiking and are accompanied by an adult. The hikes are moderate to difficult. The cap for this trip is 20 attendees.
Priority is given to those that communicate via text. Send meetup message to give or get text number. One-fourth of the 'going' slots will be reserved for first-timers, until two weeks from beginning of trip. Then all remaining slots will be open to waitlisted folks. If possible, we would like to achieve a more balanced gender ratio on this trip, so women do not feel intimidated from participating.

If you cancel after that, you are only eligible for a $15 refund.
General overview
Wade will be leading this trip... as well as others, as deemed necessary. However, as with all successful events, this trip's success depends on a group effort. We will be camping in bear country. Food must be stored in cars at night and during the day when unattended.
All participants are responsible for their own camp gear, supplies, food and drinks for the trip. It is unclear whether potable water will be available, so bringing 1-2 gallons of water per person per day is recommended. You can bring less if you bring a trusted water filter. We encourage all participants to bring a potluck side dish for Alex's cooking class meal. We will spend 3 days and 3 nights hiking in this spectacular area east of Moab.
If you have Venmo, just send $50 to @William-Clark-409 and specify the date and event you wish to attend. (Link to QR Code http://clarkwork.ssl2work.com/campInfo.php?p=qr). If you do not have Venmo, arrange payment with any of the event organizers in person. You are not signed up until payment is received.
